These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of hosting.ithryn.tech and related WordPress hosting, login, administration, support, and website management services provided by Ithryn Technologies Inc. (“Ithryn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this site or any hosted website services provided through it, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the services on behalf of a company, organization, or client, you represent that you are authorized to bind that party to these Terms.
1. Description of Services
Ithryn provides managed WordPress hosting and related technical services for approved clients. These services may include website hosting, WordPress administration, software updates, security configuration, backup coordination, monitoring, support, and related infrastructure management.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, hosting provided through this platform is a courtesy service intended for low-risk client websites, such as informational, brochure-style, or basic content websites.
2. Authorized Users
Access to this platform is limited to authorized Ithryn clients, client-designated users, Ithryn personnel, and approved support providers.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify Ithryn promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.
Ithryn may suspend or revoke access if we believe an account has been compromised, misused, or poses a security or operational risk.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Ensuring that all website content is accurate, lawful, and properly authorized
- Maintaining rights to text, images, logos, media, trademarks, and other content they provide
- Reviewing and approving website changes where applicable
- Complying with laws and regulations applicable to their business and website
- Providing accurate administrative, billing, domain, and contact information
- Promptly notifying Ithryn of suspected security incidents or unauthorized access
- Maintaining their own business records and independent copies of important content
Ithryn is not responsible for verifying the legality, accuracy, ownership, or compliance status of client-provided website content unless specifically agreed in writing.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the services, or allow any hosted website to be used, for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or high-risk activities.
Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal activity or content
- Malware, phishing, credential harvesting, spam, or malicious code
- Copyright, trademark, or intellectual property infringement
- Harassment, threats, abuse, or doxxing
- Content that is fraudulent, deceptive, or intentionally misleading
- Unauthorized collection, scraping, or disclosure of personal information
- Hosting or processing regulated data without prior written approval
- Unapproved e-commerce, payment processing, or financial transactions
- Adult content, gambling content, or other high-risk content without prior written approval
- Activities that degrade, disrupt, or interfere with Ithryn systems or other client websites
- Attempts to bypass access controls, security controls, or administrative restrictions
Ithryn may suspend, restrict, remove, or disable access to any website, account, plugin, file, or content that we believe violates these Terms or creates legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.
5. WordPress Access, Plugins, Themes, and Security
This platform may use WordPress Multisite or other shared WordPress hosting configurations. To protect the security and stability of the platform, Ithryn may restrict administrator access, plugin installation, theme installation, file editing, scripting, custom code, and other high-risk functionality.
Unless otherwise approved by Ithryn, client users may be limited to content management roles such as Editor, Author, or similar non-administrative roles. Super Administrator access is reserved for Ithryn or approved technical personnel.
Ithryn may remove, disable, update, replace, or refuse plugins, themes, scripts, integrations, or code that we determine may create a security, performance, compatibility, licensing, or operational issue.
6. Backups and Data Recovery
Ithryn may maintain server-level, application-level, database, or file backups as part of its operational practices. However, unless otherwise agreed in writing, backups and recovery are provided on a best-effort basis.
Ithryn does not guarantee that every file, database record, revision, upload, email, form submission, plugin setting, or configuration change can be restored.
Clients should maintain their own copies of important business records, website content, media, legal notices, customer submissions, and other critical data.
7. No Free Hosting SLA
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, free or courtesy hosting is provided without an uptime service level agreement, guaranteed recovery time, guaranteed recovery point, performance guarantee, or financial service credit.
Ithryn will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the availability, security, and functionality of the hosting platform, but interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, failures, security events, cloud provider issues, DNS issues, domain issues, third-party services, or other causes.
8. Support Boundaries
Ithryn may provide reasonable support for hosting-related issues, platform access, security concerns, website availability, and approved WordPress functionality.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, free hosting does not include unlimited website design, content entry, custom development, SEO work, marketing work, copywriting, e-commerce support, custom plugin development, or third-party application support.
Ithryn may require a separate statement of work, managed services agreement, or paid support arrangement for work outside the scope of courtesy hosting.
9. Client Content and Intellectual Property
Clients retain ownership of the content, trademarks, logos, images, media, and materials they provide to Ithryn or upload to their hosted websites.
By providing content to Ithryn or uploading content to a hosted website, you grant Ithryn the limited right to host, copy, transmit, display, back up, restore, modify, and process that content as necessary to provide hosting, support, security, maintenance, and related services.
You represent that you have all rights, licenses, permissions, and consents needed to provide or publish the content you submit.
10. Ithryn Materials
Ithryn retains ownership of its templates, processes, documentation, scripts, configurations, custom code, infrastructure designs, service methods, branding, and other materials created or supplied by Ithryn, except where otherwise agreed in writing.
Clients may not copy, resell, sublicense, or reuse Ithryn materials outside the hosted website or applicable client engagement without Ithryn’s written permission.
11. Third-Party Services
Hosted websites may use third-party services, plugins, themes, APIs, fonts, analytics tools, form tools, email providers, security tools, CDN services, payment processors, DNS providers, or other integrations.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, licenses, and service commitments. Ithryn is not responsible for third-party outages, changes, pricing, licensing restrictions, data practices, vulnerabilities, or discontinued services.
12. Domains, DNS, and Email
Clients are responsible for maintaining ownership and control of their domains unless Ithryn has expressly agreed to manage a domain on the client’s behalf.
DNS, SSL certificates, domain renewals, domain registrar access, and email routing may affect website availability. Ithryn is not responsible for outages or losses caused by expired domains, registrar issues, DNS misconfiguration, third-party email issues, or client-managed domain changes.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Ithryn’s collection and use of personal information through this platform is described in our Privacy Policy.
Clients are responsible for maintaining appropriate privacy notices, cookie notices, consent mechanisms, data processing terms, and compliance practices for their own websites and users.
14. Suspension or Termination
Ithryn may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the services or any hosted website if:
- A website or account creates a security, legal, operational, or reputational risk
- A website is compromised, infected, abused, or used for malicious activity
- A client or user violates these Terms
- Required domain, DNS, billing, support, or administrative information is not maintained
- Continued hosting is no longer commercially, technically, or operationally reasonable
- Ithryn is required to do so by law, court order, provider policy, or third-party claim
Where practical, Ithryn will attempt to provide notice before suspension or termination. However, Ithryn may act without prior notice when necessary to protect systems, clients, users, or third parties.
15. Data Export After Termination
Upon termination of hosting, Ithryn may provide a reasonable opportunity to export website files, media, and database content, subject to security, legal, technical, and operational limitations.
Ithryn is not obligated to retain hosted website data indefinitely after termination. Data may be deleted according to Ithryn’s backup, retention, and operational policies.
16. Copyright and DMCA Notices
Ithryn respects intellectual property rights and may remove or disable access to content that is alleged to infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
Copyright owners or authorized agents who believe that content hosted by Ithryn infringes their rights may send a written notice containing the information required by applicable law to Ithryn’s designated copyright contact.
DMCA notices should include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location
- Contact information for the complaining party
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act

Ithryn may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
17. Disclaimers
The services are provided “as is” and “as available” unless otherwise agreed in writing. Ithryn disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, performance, and error-free operation.
Ithryn does not guarantee that any hosted website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, free from vulnerabilities, free from malware, compatible with all plugins or themes, or recoverable in every circumstance.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ithryn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to the services.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Ithryn’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to free or courtesy hosting services will be limited to the amount paid by the client specifically for the affected hosting service during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If no amount was paid for the affected hosting service, Ithryn’s liability will be limited to one hundred dollars ($100).
19. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ithryn, its officers, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the services
- Your website content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of law or third-party rights
- Your misuse of accounts, credentials, plugins, themes, integrations, or hosted systems
20. Changes to the Services
Ithryn may modify, update, migrate, replace, suspend, or discontinue any part of the hosting platform or related services. This may include changes to infrastructure, software versions, hosting architecture, security controls, plugins, themes, support processes, or access methods.
Ithryn will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption where practical.
21. Changes to These Terms
Ithryn may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the services after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
